Springfield Campus Debit Transactions


You have 4 ways to deposit funds

There are 4 ways to add funds to your Campus Cash or meal plan account:

  1. Online
    Major credit cards are accepted, and you must add at least $20.
    Funds are available when the transaction is complete.

  2. At Value Transfer Machines (VTMs)
    Cash only in $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills is accepted. Funds are available a few minutes after you deposit them.

  3. At the ID Center in PAC 108
    Cash in exact change only, checks, and all major credit cards are accepted. Funds are available a few minutes after your deposit them.

  4. At the Cashier Operations Office in PAC 184, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday
    Cash and checks are accepted. Funds are available a few minutes after you deposit them.

Value Transfer Machines (VTM) locations
  • Brookens Library: Main level study area near the circulation desk.
  • Founders Residence Hall: East entrance, 1st floor hallway.
  • Health & Sciences Building: Lower level, near the computer lab.
  • Lincoln Residence Hall: 1st floor, outside the vending room.
  • Public Affairs Center: Lower level, next to the Bursar's Office.
  • Student Life Building: East entrance, next to the vending machines.
  • Recreation and Athletic Center (TRAC): 1st floor, near the front desk.
  • University Hall: 2nd floor, near the computer lab.

You have 5 ways to check your account balance

There are 5 ways to check your Campus Cash or meal plan account balance:

  1. Online

  2. At Value Transfer Machines (VTMs)

  3. At Vending Machines
    Your meal plan balance displays after each transaction. If you have no meal plan funds, your Campus Cash balance displays.

  4. At Food Service Locations and Campus Offices
    Just ask at the cash register

  5. On an Account Statement Prepared at Your Request
    Email the ID Center (uisidcenter@uis.edu) and tell us:

    • Your University ID Number (UIN)
    • The account you want a statement for (Campus Cash, meal plan, or both)
    • The date range of activity you would like to see
    • Whether you want the statement emailed to you or printed for you at the ID Center. (To maintain security, account balances are never given over the phone.)
