What card services can I get at Urbana?
Go to the Urbana card services page to read what card services are accessed and available to most people with ID cards.
Where's the Urbana ID Center?
It's in the Illini Union Bookstore; see the ID Center Locations page for address, hours, and contact information.
What is stored value? How can I use it at Urbana?
Stored value is funds associated with your card, not a separate account (like what you access with a debit card). You add stored value to your card at special machines. The transaction amount is deducted from your card when you swipe it at machines that accept stored value.
At Urbana, you may use stored value to pay for photocopies at University libraries, the Illini Union, and at residence halls. Illini Union Campus Vending administers stored value services at Urbana.
What are Extra Credits? How do I add them to my i-card?
Extra Credits are prepaid funds that anyone with an active i-card can use to purchase Classic Meals and A La Carte items at Dining Services locations. Extra Credits are not refundable and never expire as long as you have an active i-card.
You can purchase Extra Credits two ways:
- Online with a credit card, with a $20 minimum deposit: at On-campus Debit Accounts
- At any University Housing office with cash or a check, no minimum required.
