Can I get refunds for unused meal plan funds?

You may request a refund of remaining meal plan funds when you leave the University, if you are eligible for refund.

Refunds are granted only when:

  • You cancel your meal plan before the end of the 10th week of a fall or spring semester or the 4th week of a summer semester.
  • You withdraw from all classes or have documented medical circumstances that keep you from using the meal plan.

To cancel a meal plan, download and complete a Refund Request (PDF) form, or get a form at the Housing Office, or ID Center. Include the reason for your request and all supporting documentation.

Approved refunds are calculated as the account's original cash value minus the value of all purchases charged to that account. If less than $5 value remains after this calculation, no money is refunded. Refunds are transferred to the cardholder's student account.
