What is i-card Perks?

i-card Perks is a free service that offers special discounts on meals, services, and more to University i-card holders. When you present your own valid i-card to participating merchants, you receive a discount or special offer available only through i-card Perks.

Who can get i-card Perks discounts?

Anyone who has their own, valid photo i-card can get Perks in the Champaign-Urbana area. Visiting from the Chicago or Springfield? Your campus i-card is good for Perks!

Who can offer i-card Perks?

University campus units and most local businesses may become an i-card Perks member. i-card Perks is a University-sponsored service, and i-card Programs may refuse or terminate participation to any merchant who sels products or services that conflict with University or departmental policies or interests, including but not limited to sales of alcohol, drug paraphernalia, tobacco products, gambling services, firearms, and/or tattoo/piercing services.

How does i-card Perks work?

Businesses and campus units that participate in i-card Perks agree to offer unique discounts or special offers to i-card holders. i-card Programs promotes merchants to the campus community on the i-card Perks web pages, at Summer Orientation programs, at student and employee events, and with Perks fliers and other materials and promotions.

What benefits do members get?

Campus units and merchants may participate as a Basic or Bonus member and receive corresponding benefits:

Basic Member Benefits

  • Standard placement (business name in plain text) on the i-card Perks web pages and in other Perks marketing materials
  • Standard discount/offer listed on i-card Perks web pages
  • Five i-card Perks counter cards
  • One i-card Perks window cling

Bonus Member Benefits

  • Preferred placement and/or designation with business logo on i-card Perks web pages and inother Perks marketing materials
  • Standard discount/offer listed on the i-card Perks web pages
  • Additional special discount/offer listed in exclusive incentive coupon given to 4,000 students and staff at special University events
  • Five i-card Perks counter cards
  • Two i-card Perks window clings
