Card services for Springfield

The following table lists the most common card services and privileges at Springfield.

Card service Description
Door access Residents of Lincoln and Founders Residence Halls use ID cards to access their residence hall and room. Some employees use ID cards for door access at other campus buildings.

Access control is managed by the UIS Police department. Contact your Residence Hall Director or Supervisor to request access to an applicable campus building.
Food Campus Cash pays for food purchases at dining locations, vending machines, and snack bars.

Meal plans pay for food and beverage purchases at Food Services facilities and vending machines.
Laundry Residence hall tenants and guests may pay for laundry using Campus Cash funds on their i-card or Value card.
Library Students, employees, alumni, and others have borrowing privileges at Brookens Library.
Mass transit Students may ride the STMD bus between UIS and Lincoln Land Community College free, and may ride the Student Life Shuttle free. Students may purchase discount bus passes at the Bursar's Office.
Meal plans Housing residence students may purchase meal plans.
Photocopying Cardholders may use Campus Cash to pay for photocopies.

Departments and faculty may make copies using a department card that is linked to a credit account set up by the UIS ID Center.
Printing Cardholders pay for printing at computer labs and Brookens Library using Campus Cash.
Recreation Students assessed the General Fee may use facilities for free. Employees and many others purchase memberships.
Schoolbooks and supplies Campus Cash is accepted at the UIS Bookstore.
Ticket discounts to Athletics events Students receive discounts on Athletic events tickets.
Ticket discounts to performances at Sangamon Auditorium Sangamon Auditorium discounts student tickets.
